Theology of Father Dumitru Stăniloae is characterized by a personalist perspective emphasized in triadology, but also in anthropology, christology and ecclesiology. Thus, the state of communication and communion between God and human being is presented from the creation of man, in primordial state. In Heaven there was a personal communication between God and man, but due to the sin of the forefathers Adam and Eve, this natural state of communication and communion was broken, being altered. The whole creation suffered, but God continued to communicate with man, through the dialogue with the patriarchs and prophets of the Old Testament. This dialogue aimed the Incarnation of the Word who restored communication and communion between God and human being.

In his works, Father Dumitru Stăniloae emphasizes that God is communicating through natural revelation (indirect way), but also through supranatural revelation (in a direct and personal way), in order to be in communion with human being. Revelation is communicated through Christ, in Holy Spirit, with the aim of realizing the communion in Church. Church is understood as the dialogue of Christ with people through Scripture (divine-human means of communication and communion) and Tradition (permanent dialogue of Church with Christ). Theology has an apophatic character being a mystery beyond words, a mystery that can be experienced personally and valued in Church.

In the theology of Father Dumitru Stăniloae, cosmology is presented as a mean of communication of God’s goodness, the creation being the opera of the Trinitarian communion, the gift of the Divine Word, but also a guide to Divine Word through its rationality. The rationality of creation is seen as way of our dialogue with God, which mediate communion. Analysing the ecological dimension of communication and communion, I emphasized that we can speak about a cosmic and an universal communication between all the elements of visible and invisible world. Therefore, there is a solidarity of
human being with nature, but also a great responsibility towards creation as a gift of God.
